An active license is a license that exists in our network and hasn't been revoked or deleted. Expired licenses count towards the active licenses limit. You can set our system to automatically delete expired licenses after some time to ensure that they don't add up. When you hit the limit, you won't be able to add new licenses, but your existing licenses will continue to work.
